  • 1 duck (about 2.4 kg);
  • 0.5 liters of dark beer (1 bottle, can also be replaced by pure water);
  • . 1 teaspoon paprika;
  • . 1 teaspoon garlic powder;
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper - to taste;
  • 3-4 pcs. potatoes;
  • 1 large onion;
  • 3-4 medium carrots;
  • 2-3 stalks of celery.

Pour the beer into the jar
For this recipe I used a glass jar of 700-gram (any bank about this size).
This will help keep the duck vertically and get exactly the famous duck, crispy skin.
Furthermore, the fat will drain down onto vegetables ina result, they will gain an amazing flavor. If you do not have a suitable bank, you can still use this recipe, simply place the duck breast side up on top of the vegetables.
Pour into a jar of beer bottles. If you do not have a beer, replace it with water - it is necessary to pour some liquid in the jar, so that it is not cracked.

Make incisions in the duck breast
Rinse the duck inside and out. Blot with paper towels carcass. Trim the excess skin and the fat around the neck and in the abdomen.
Rub the duck with salt and garlic powder inside.
With a sharp knife make a few incisions in the breast. Try to cut the skin and fat, but do not cut the meat. Prick the duck skin with a fork on all sides - the more often you can.

We put the duck on the bank
Put the carcass in the jar, put a jar of duck into a large baking dish.
Rub garlic powder, paprika and salt into the skin of the duck.

Bake the duck in the oven
Adjust (set lower) rack of the oven so that the duck was placed in the oven without touching the oven itself.
Preheat oven to 220 gr.C.

Cooked duck, remove from oven and pass on a cutting board.
Give it a "rest" on a cutting board for 10-15 minutes before a sharp knife cut into portions pieces.
