Oat buns without yeast

Oat buns without yeast - a very British! Oatmeal in the morning - this is not necessarily oatmeal. It can replace tasty oat biscuits, baked without yeast in the yogurt.

Oat bread rolls are a mustfor any classic English tea. Also vegetable fibers, they contain many nutrients magnesium, zinc and vitamin B3 (niacin), useful for the skin. Therefore, they are ideal to start the day: fresh oat bun with butter and jam and a cup of tea - is not a wonderful homemade breakfast?

Ingredients for "Oat bread rolls without yeast":

  • 400 g wheat wholemeal;
  • 1 sachet baking powder;
  • 2 tbsp. spoons of sugar;
  • a pinch of salt;
  • 3 eggs;
  • 100 g butter (at room temperature);
  • 250 g kefir or yogurt (3.5% fat);
  • 120 grams of oatmeal fast food.

Note

If you save on calories, cook oatmeal muffins to yogurt, low-fat (1.5% fat) or low-fat yogurt (0.1-0.3% fat).

Recipe "Oat bread rolls without yeast":

Mix all dry ingredients in bowl
In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar and a pinch of salt.

Add the butter and eggs
Add 2 eggs and butter in small portions, so that the dough is well mixed.
Stir mixer (attachment "hook") or simply by hand - a shovel.

Knead a smooth soft dough
Add the yogurt and 100 grams of oat flakes and knead a soft smooth dough.

Roll out the dough on the table
Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a cake about 2.5 cm thick and cut out round blank (about 7 cm in diameter).

Sprinkle oatmeal muffins
Place the rolls on a baking sheet, laid by parchment paper.
Beat the last egg and separate the yolk from the protein. Mix the egg yolk and 1 tablespoon water and brush the buns with the mixture.
Then lightly sprinkle their oatmeal.

Bake buns without yeast in the oven
Bake Oatmeal muffins in a preheated oven at 200 oC on the middle rack for about 15 minutes - until golden brown.
Turn off the oven and let them cool on a rack in the oven for 20-30 minutes.
