Young lamb - soft meat, with a largenumber hymen. Therefore, it is better to bind tightly to the compact piece. Well, if you buy in the store a ready-to-eat meat, tied with twine. Below I'll show you how to put out delicious lamb, adding to it the onion, carrots, spices and garlic.

Ingredients for "Lamb stew with vegetables in the oven":

  • 1.4 kg of lamb without bone;
  • 250 ml of tomato fruit drink (can of thick tomato juice);
  • 6 medium cloves of garlic;
  • 2 medium onions;
  • 4 medium carrots;
  • 5 sprigs fresh rosemary (or 1 tbsp dry.);
  • 5 sprigs fresh thyme (or 1 tbsp dry.);
  • 2 cups (200 ml) chicken broth;
  • salt and black pepper - to taste;
  • 1 cup of white wine.

The recipe for "lamb stew with vegetables in the oven":

Season with salt and pepper lamb
First, turn on the oven - though it is heated to 180 gr.S.
Meat (already ready for processing), sprinkle with plenty of salt and pepper and leave to stand at room temperature while you prepare the vegetables.

Clean and chop the vegetables
Peel the onions and carrots, cut them into large chunks. Garlic peel and leave the cloves intact.

Put the meat in the form of vegetables for roasting
Choose a baking dish or kettle in which the lamb and vegetables are packed tightly adhering well to each other.
Put in the form of meat, spread around the onion, carrot and garlic, and on top and pour the tomato, wine and broth.

Simmer the lamb in the oven for 2.5 hours
Let lamb with stewed vegetables a total of two and a half hours. After the first hour turn in the form of meat and cover it with a lid or foil.
During the remaining 90 minutes you need to turn the meat every half an hour, or the part that is not submerged in the liquid to be crude.

Mix sauce blender
Remove the form from the oven and remove the meat to a plate. While the lamb has cooled down a bit, we will finish cooking the sauce.
Mix the vegetables and the broth with a handblender - the sauce is supposed to be thick. If you want, you can add thickness to it a tablespoon of starch dissolved in cold water, and bring the sauce to a boil.

Place the lamb in the sauce and bring to a boil
Return the meat into the mold and leave the lid upserving. Or cut it flat slices and serve immediately, generously pouring hot sauce. Lamb stew in the oven well with any side dish.
