Pork knuckle baked in the oven - the bestrecipe I know of ways to cook pork shank. It is prepared with beer, fried, boiled, and in many other ways. Nevertheless, it is best obtained if it marinate for several days, then boiled and finally baked. Then it will be soft enough and also fried, but not too parched and dehydrated.

Ingredients for "Pork shank baked in the oven":
- 2 pork shank with skin (washed and scraped);
- 2-3 carrots;
- 1 onion;
- 1 parsley root;
- vegetable broth - 1 liter;
- spices for pork - 1/2 tsp.
- 2 liters water;
- 1 tablespoon salt (c slide);
- 2-3 cloves of garlic;
- 3-4 pcs. allspice;
- 2-3 bay leaves.
Recipe for "Pork shank baked in the oven":
After a specified time, place in the panshank, carrots, peeled and cut into 4 pieces of onion, parsley, herbs and seasonings to pork. Pour vegetable stock or water, bring to a boil and cook for about 2 hours on low heat.
Taking stock of soft pork shank, applysharp knife on pig skin "pattern" - mesh and place shank on the baking sheet, greased. Preheat oven to 170 gr. C and bake pork shin for 30-45 minutes.
Serve with beer, roasted vegetables and black bread.
